License Agreement

1. The PHP code is GPL

FindAstra's PHP code is licensed under version 2 (or later) of the GNU General Public License. WordPress requires this and we're happy to honor it. You can copy, modify, and redistribute the PHP code under the GPL's terms.

Everything else that ships with FindAstra is not GPL'd: the FindAstra name, branding, logo, custom CSS, custom JavaScript bundles, design assets, documentation, license-key system, and the right to use any of those in association with our products. The license below covers those non-GPL assets and the support, updates, and license-key entitlements you get for paying us.

2. License grant

Subject to your continued compliance with this License, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable, worldwide license to:

• install and run FindAstra on the number of production sites you bought it for;
• install and run additional copies on staging, development, and test sites that mirror those production sites;
• configure, customize, and integrate FindAstra with your own WordPress site;
• receive updates and bug fixes for the lifetime of the product.

3. Tiers and scope

The license is tied to the licensee (you), not to a specific domain. You may move a license from one site to another, as long as you deactivate the previous site before activating the new one.

4. Updates

Every license includes lifetime updates. As long as we maintain the product, every version is available to you at no additional cost. We may change the update cadence or add subscriber-only features in future versions, but no feature you already have access to will be removed from your installed copy.

5. Support

Every license includes 6 months of email support from your purchase date. After 6 months, you continue to receive updates but support moves to the public community forum (when available) and to best-effort responses by email. Renewable support extensions may be offered in future.

Support is:

• available in English only;
• provided to the original license holder, not to third parties acting on their behalf;
• limited to the FindAstra plugin and its documented features;
• not a custom-development or theme-debugging service.

6. Restrictions

You may not, and may not allow others to:

• resell, rent, or sublicense FindAstra to third parties as a standalone product;
• bundle FindAstra into a theme, template, plugin, or product offered for sale or for free distribution;
• share your license key publicly or with anyone outside the licensed organization;
• circumvent or remove the license-key validation or update mechanism;
• remove or alter copyright notices, trademarks, or branding in the non-GPL assets;
• misrepresent FindAstra as your own work in marketing copy, screenshots, or product listings;
• use FindAstra in any way that violates the law or infringes third-party rights.

7. Agency and client use

If you are an agency or freelancer building sites for clients, you may install FindAstra on client sites up to the number of sites in your tier. The license key remains with you (the agency), not with the client. You are responsible for the use of the Plugin on each client site. If a client wants to take ownership of the license, you can transfer it to them by deactivating the site on your account and asking us to reassign it. We don't charge for transfers.

8. Open-source dependencies

FindAstra includes third-party open-source libraries. Each is governed by its own license, all of which are compatible with the GPL. A full list of dependencies and their licenses ships with each release in credits.md.

9. Reverse engineering and modifications

The PHP code is GPL and can be modified freely under the GPL. We do ask, as a courtesy, that modifications you redistribute be clearly marked as your own derivative work and that you keep credit links to FindAstra where the original code included them. The non-GPL assets (branding, the license-key system, the website assets) may not be modified or reused outside the Plugin without our written permission.

10. Termination

We may terminate this License immediately if you breach it, share your license key publicly, file a chargeback without first contacting us, or use FindAstra in a way that causes harm to others. On termination, you must stop using the Plugin and remove it from all sites under your control. Installed copies will continue to function as a practical matter, but you lose the rights granted under this License, including future updates and support.

You may terminate this License at any time by removing FindAstra from your sites. That doesn't entitle you to a refund outside the 30-day window in our refund policy.

11. Disclaimer of warranty

FindAstra is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind. Search relevance, performance, and integration with third-party services depend on factors outside our control, including your hosting environment, theme, other plugins, and the AI engine you choose. We do not warrant that the Plugin will be free from bugs, secure, or meet your specific requirements.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability under this License is limited to the amount you paid for the license in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

This License is governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes that can't be resolved by discussion will be brought in the competent courts of Casablanca, Morocco.

14. Entire agreement

This License, together with the Terms of Service, the Refund Policy, and the Privacy Policy, forms the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Plugin. It replaces any earlier license or agreement covering the same subject.
